White Bean Hummus

White Bean Hummus

This is a gorgeously creamy hummus recipe and almost always on our dinner table. My youngest loves mixing it with roast chicken.  It is great as a dip for veggies and grain free crackers, as a base for sausage, homemade marinated artichoke hearts and roasted veg or eaten plain by the spoonful!

Prep Time: 5 minutes  Cook time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup cooked navy or white beans (we do dried beans, soaked overnight, rinsed and then cooked) or 1 can of beans

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • ⅓ cup tahini

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp garlic powder - make sure your spices have no added starches

  • 1 TBSP water

 Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor - I use a mini chop.

  2. Place in a tightly sealed container and it will last up to a week in the refrigerator.
